REGISTRATION

How do I register?

Registration is available online at https://runsignup.com/bhm262. We do not accept phone or email entries.

Can I switch from one distance to another after registering?

You must submit transfer request by July 31 to info@bhm262.com. After this date you will be charged a $15 transfer fee.

How can I confirm my registration?

When registering for the race, you should have been prompted to create an account with Run Signup. You can confirm your registration by logging into Run Signup and selecting “My Races”. Please Note: Final confirmation/information will be emailed to participants 2 weeks prior to the event.

What do I receive with my registration?

Each registered participant and finisher of the marathon, half marathon, 10k, and 5k will receive the following:

  • Race number, official timing device, official T-shirt and swag bag to be picked up at Packet Pickup

  • Water & Sports Drink along the course

  • Refreshments and water at the start and finish lines

  • Finisher’s medal when you cross the finish line

  • A post race meal and an adult beverage.

What do I do if I cannot participate after I have registered?

All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. Once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund. If you cannot participate, you may not give or sell your number to anyone else and entry fees will not be transferred from year to year. Your registration fee will be converted to a donation to Magic Moments.

Do you have an elite program?

No, we do not have an elite program, however, we DO offer those who qualify with the following times a free entry.

Half marathon qualification times are:

  • Men 1:15:00

  • Women 1:30:00 

Full marathon qualification times are:

  • Men 2:40:00

  • Female 3:30:00

Requirements:

Athletes must submit documentation of the qualifying time to info@bhm262.com by September 1, 2024.

PACKET PICKUP

Where is packet pick up?

Packet pick up will take place at Brock’s Gap Brewery (500 Mineral Trace Suite 100, Hoover, AL 35244)

  • Fri, Oct 4th: 3PM - 6PM

  • Sat, Oct 5th: 10AM - 2PM

Can I change t-shirt sizes at Packet Pickup?

Due to shirts being pre-ordered, we are unable to change t-shirt sizes after September 1st

Can someone else pick up my packet?

Race material may be picked up by someone else if they have a copy of a current, valid photo I.D. of the race participant they are picking up for. Race materials can be shipped if selected during registration. The deadline for mailed packets is September 1st.

Do we offer day of packet pick up? 

No, unfortunately under no circumstances can we allow you to pick up your packet on race day. During registration you can choose to pay for your packet to be mailed to you if you cannot attend our packet pick up.

GENERAL

Will the event be canceled in inclement weather?

We will follow standard outdoor sporting event protocol to ensure safety of runners and volunteers. If the event hasn’t started by 8:00 am on Sunday, the event will be canceled. Your registration fee will be converted to a donation to Magic Moments. In the case of forecasted severe weather, a call will be made in the appropriate time frame and we will make our best efforts to reschedule to event.

What time do the races start? 

  • 7am: Full / Half Marathon

  • 7:15am: 10K / 5K

  • 10am: Kids Fun Run

Are dogs, bikes, strollers, roller blades allowed on course?

No dogs, in-line skates, skateboards, or bikes will be allowed on any part of the course. Baby joggers are allowed on the 10K, 5K and fun run courses.

Is there a time limit on the course?

Yes. 6 hours for the Full and Half Marathon courses.

Where can runners store their belongings while running? 

BHM26.2 offers a bag check on race day where you can safely store your belongings. 

What if I lost a personal item at the Start Finish Line? 

Lost items that were found and turned in will be returned to the Magic Moments office after the event. Please allow 1-2 weeks for transit time and inventory. Email info@magicmoments.org to request your lost item.

What hotel does BHM26.2 recommend? 

To be announced.

Where should I park? 

At the Hoover Met.

If I win an award, can I pick it up on race day? 

Yes, we will present them day of the race.

Do all event proceeds go to Magic Moments?

100% of registration fees benefit Magic Moments.

Can I drop to a shorter distance or change race distances?

Yes but you must submit transfer request by July 31 to info@bhm262.com. After this date you will be charged a $15 transfer fee. You will not be refunded for the difference in registration fees.

What is your Cancelation Policy?

As with all ticketed events we cannot offer refunds in the event of a cancellation but we will make every effort to reschedule the event to allow you to use the benefits of your registration at a later date. We do our very best to never cancel this event lightly and any cancellation will come with extensive information for you as a participant.

Where can I find turn by turn directions for each course?

You can find turn by turn directions on each race page by clicking here and selecting your race.

Are the courses walker friendly? 

The courses are walker friendly. We just ask that all participants train in an effort to complete the course within the course time limit. The cutoff time is 6 hours for the Full and Half Marathon and 2 hours for the 10K and 5K.

Is this event a Boston Qualifier? 

Yes, our courses will be certified through USATF. Based on the changing construction maps of our cities we opt to certify closer to race date and publish tentative maps until closer to our race dates.

Is there a military discount available? 

Yes. Email infor@bhm262.com with a photo of your military ID for a 15% discount.

Is BHM26.2 an inclusive event? 

Yes, we strive to make our course an inclusive environment and make all accommodations ahead of time to ensure an easy race day.

The accessible event will start 3 minutes prior to marathon start. If you are choosing to participate in this category you must email info@bhm262.com to ensure we accommodate you!

Where are medical stations located? 

Medical stations will be located at the start and finish line as well as throughout the course. Specific information on locations will be provided closer to race day.

Where are water stops located? 

Water stations will be located approximately every two miles. Specific information on locations will be provided closer to race day.

Do you offer cash prizes?

No. In order to give all funds to the benefitting charities, we do not offer cash prizes.

What if my results are missing or inaccurate? 

Please submit a results correction request and our timing company will look into your claim. Submissions will be accepted for five days after the event and updated results will be posted within seven days.
